第六話 - たい焼き (Taiyaki) in Singapore

I like taiyaki. No, like is an understatement. Will-kill-for taiyaki is more like it. But not just any taiyaki. I love the one sold in Isetan (local japanese store) when they have a fair. The ones shaped like a fish and has japanese red bean in it. The japanese red beans have a different texture and taste that the local ones. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a store in Singapore which sells these taiyaki. They only have those round ones which smells terrible (egg smell to it). I think it got to do with the pancake mixture they used. Anyone in Singapore can tell me where I can get this taiyaki? Help! I'm craving for it. Don't tell me I have to fly to Japan to get it? *faints*

that stuff... is to die for. T____T
there's even a korean ice cream called samanco that's shaped like taiyaki, but has a crispy exterior and is filled with vanilla ice cream and anko. xD

eeeek, Ive never been a fan of anko...but i love it when they fill it with creamy choco :D

hmm...
maybe you should just wait for the food fairs they have at ngee ann city..
otherwise, they might have it at bugis junction (they're quite random when it comes to food -_-;;)
not sure about liang court...
geez.. now i feel like having some too.
just buy a dao sa bao, scoop out the insides and put it on a waffle if you get desperate -_-;;;

actually i just had one a couple of days ago. isetan was having some fair. so they had this mini taiyaki. delicious!
